When students drink with their professors

An E-P friend of mine invited some of our professors to her birthday happy hour at a local bar. One of them responded:

"I'm honored to be invited and I'm going to do my best to at least stop by. I'll be leaving early enough that I won't realize how many of you are spending your Friday drinking instead of finishing up graduate work."

Hee. I plan to get so drunk that I won't be able to tell the difference between the psychoanalytic theory of play and the grounded theory method of qualitative analysis!

See what I did there? How I combined a Purim joke with obscure references to the field of child development? I am good.

Now, off to drink.
