Everyone's my friend in New York City

Last night I wrote about how Hannah and I were planning to jog through Central Park and how we'd probably stumble across a body like on Law & Order. (This phenomenon is not limited to Special Victims Unit, which everyone knows is my favorite L&O.) Now, a great cosmic coincidence would have been stumbling across a shoot of an actual Law & Order episode, but instead we stumbled across a Disney movie called Enchanted. (Me to a PA: "TV movie?" Him: "No, feature!") Celebrity sightings: Amy Adams (you have never heard of her, but thanks to my vast store of useless celebrity information I know she was widely acclaimed for her performance in Junebug), and I think James Marsden was somewhere in the vicinity because I heard this middle-aged woman say, "I want my daughter to get his autograph!"

Judging by the scene we watched, in which pairs of brides and grooms danced around Central Park with some kind of weird mariachi band, it appears to be a musical. According to IMDb, Amy Adams is a cartoon princess who gets kicked out of her cartoon princess world into actual New York City, where she falls in love with a married man and must choose between him and the cartoon prince who has followed her to New York along with his evil mother (played by Susan Sarandon). How she will settle this dilemma while simultaneously juggling the enormous task of setting women's liberation back three hundred years remains to be seen.

Amy Adams was also Jim's girlfriend on The Office, the one he dumped on the booze cruise.

That's so cool!
Coincidentally, just before reading your blog, I was reading some gossip sites, and came across pictures of the shoot.

Oh, it definitely was Amy Adams that I saw, then! We weren't sure at first (actually, I wasn't sure; Hannah had no idea who she was), but that's the same hair and outfit she was wearing today. Apparently they're filming all over Manhattan, and everyone and their uncle has run into them.
