It's not time to settle down

"As for Sally, the only reason things finally worked out for her was because of the aftermath of a night of spontenaity." --E-mail from Carrie

A stunning rebuttal! Carrie makes a very strong case for doing everything that would give my mother (and me) a total aneurysm. It's true that the most interesting people's life stories often have meandering and seemingly random paths: Well, I was a music major in college, and then I worked in a zoo for a while, and then I did children's theater in Europe before getting a job on the ground floor of this amazing company of which I am now the producer.

Maybe after I get my hair cut today it'll be the transformation that leads to a whole new Rachel!

...nah. Probably not.

Woot! One point for Carrie! If you need something semi-structured yet adventurous, what about TFA? I know you're against it, but it has that whole "do a job sort of related to something you'd like to do for real in a new place" thing going for it.
